This pork chop recipe makes for a really tasty fall or winter meal but you can have it anytime (maybe its just me but I always want pig when it’s cold outside).

Step One:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and gather the following,

- two nice thick pork chops
- unsweetened or no sugar added applesauce
- red or white vinegar (whatever you have handy)
- salt & pepper
- garlic powder
- paprika
- cinnamon sugar (or cinnamon and sugar)
- parsley flakes
- 8 inch square glass baking dish

Step Two:

Take out your pork chops and sprinkle both sides of both chops with salt, pepper, parsley flakes, paprika and garlic powder on a plate or cutting board.

Step Three:

Pour some of your applesauce into the glass baking dish, the applesauce should be about half an inch deep.

Step Four:

Shake a some of that paprika, garlic powder, and cinnamon sugar into your applesauce. add a splash of vinegar and stir it all up.

Step Five:

Lay your seasoned pork chops in the seasoned applesauce. Cover your dish with foil and stick it in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, then take the foil off and shove it back in that hot oven for another 10 minutes.

Step Six:

After those last 10 minutes take your pork chops out of the oven, they will smell delicious and look like this! they are ready to eat.

Serve up your tasty chops with some buttered egg noodles or garlic green beans (or BOTH).  I usually mix up the applesauce at the bottom of the dish after i have put the chops on plates and spoon it over the meat. Enjoy!
